Joining a CSRA committee is a great way to contribute your talents while getting to know some of our other supporters. Look through the committees and descriptions below to see if something is of interest to you. Contact us if you would like to be involved.
Fundraising Committee
This is a very important committee for CSRA. Considering the large geographical area that we serve, we always need to be on the lookout for unique ways to raise money. To supplement individual donations and adoption fees, CSRA hosts an Annual Reunion, participates in several special events every year, and markets Cocker-related items through Shoppe Cocker. There are several online and local events that contribute as well. We are always on the lookout for new and unique ideas and talent to help raise funds to care for the Cockers in our program.
Events Committee
This committee is involved in all aspects of organizing CSRA’s events from the booth supplies, location, volunteers and dogs attending, registration, sponsors, activities, publicity, and much more. Our Events Committee is particularly busy during the spring and fall months.
Outreach Committee
This is a support committee that helps by writing press releases and articles, and getting the word out for other committees or events. They are also involved in things like placing ads or creating support material for volunteers who man tables or booths. We are always looking for different ways to increase our visibility and raise awareness of what we do.
Volunteer Committee
This committee is responsible for keeping our contact database current and for providing volunteer training and support. It also pursues newspaper ads, mailings, and any other ideas to recruit volunteers.
Other Tasks
There are a number of other support tasks being done by individuals or small groups. If you have an idea of something you can do for CSRA, we would love to hear from you.
